John Dakin, PHD, LMFT

John Dakin, Ph.D., LMFT

Dr. Dakin is the proud owner and clinical director of Aspire Recovery Center of Frisco. With a master’s and doctoral degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University, he has been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Texas since 2006. Dr. Dakin leads the team of highly skilled clinicians at Aspire, offering top-notch, comprehensive care. With extensive leadership experience in both inpatient and outpatient programs, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Additionally, Dr. Dakin’s commitment to education is evident through his tenure as an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University for over 8 years. His leadership ensures that patients receive the utmost quality care and guidance at Aspire.

With over 20 years of marriage and proud father of 4, he understands the significance of strong family connections and incorporates this understanding into his therapeutic approach. Dr. Dakin brings personal and professional expertise to his role, making a positive impact in the lives of his clients.

Chuck Messer, LCDC-I

Chuck Messer brings valuable expertise as a therapist, with extensive experience helping individuals navigate substance abuse issues and accompanying behavioral concerns. He adopts a person-centered approach and places emphasis on cognitive behavioral measures, empowering his clients to develop practical recovery tools and sober coping skills tailored to their unique journey.

Chuck’s professional background spans across residential treatment facilities and intensive outpatient programs, enabling him to provide comprehensive care. He considers it a privilege to work with clients who embrace honesty, authenticity, vulnerability, and the daily practice of gratitude. At Aspire, Chuck also facilitates the monthly Alumni gathering, engaging with clients who have completed our programs.

He firmly believes in providing everyone the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive, recognizing that relief from addiction is a fundamental right. Chuck encourages individuals to bravely explore the darkness that may surround them, as it is through this journey that they discover the incredible power of their own inner light.

Nancé Headley-Foster, MS, LPC

Nancè Ann Headley-Foster, a military parent and Dallas native, joined Aspire Recovery Center of Frisco in 2019, bringing her expertise as a group facilitator and therapist.

With a license as a professional counselor in the state of Texas and specialized training in EMDR, Nancè has accumulated a decade of experience in the addiction and mental health fields. Nancè obtained her Bachelors and Master’s Degrees in Counseling/Psychology from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Driven by her deep-rooted compassion, Nancè’s ultimate goal is to assist all individuals in finding the treatment they need. She firmly believes in the transformative power of treatment and is eager to guide others towards a life of hope and healing. Nancè’s resolute commitment to making a positive impact is evident in her heartfelt statement, “My passion and purpose is to help all people find recovery. I have learned that when you give back, you receive in return. There is always hope, and I am here to help you find it!”
